20% Popularity Score

Yeah, I've reached 20% popularity score this week. This can be a really interesting milestone.

Why is that important? It's said that once the popularity score hits the threshold of 20% the algorithm becomes curious about that artist.

There is a popularity score for the overall artist account in general as well as for each individual song.

Once a song passes the threshold of 20% the algorithms might start to test the song on different algorithmic playlist.

The higher a songs popularity score gets, the more opportunities it gets to be pushed from the algorithms to algorithmic playlist as well as to editorial playlists.

That's why this is important. 

Currently I have several songs at 17%, 18%, 19% popularity score and I could imagine a few of them might get over 20% the next week.

Could be really interesting what happens then. I'm really excited about that. I really hope it gives me a little push 😉
